Fed Could Raise Interest Rates By 75-Basis-Points

According to CNBC's Steve Liesman, Fed policymakers are at least 'entertaining' the idea of a 75-basis-point rate hike this week.

We saw on Monday that the markets are starting to anticipate an even faster pace of interest rate hikes, and the Fed is definitely entertaining that idea as well.

My reporting is that a 75-basis-point rate hike will be announced on the second day of this week’s meeting, is very likely, a real distinct possibility - Steve Liesman

Markets and traders alike have been betting on the fact that the Fed will go towards that 75-basis-point mark, rather than the traditional 25-basis-point pattern

Hold onto your seatbelts and be flexible in your trading. It is going to be a bumpy ride over the next few days.
